Blessed be the Name of His glorious Kingdom for all
eternity.
E-had is a
compound unity and is used in Hebrew to denote more than one becoming or
being one. Strong’s says united, one, first, alike, altogether. A perfect
Old Testament word used to describe the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Examples of e-had being used as a compound
singular are:
Genesis 2:24
Exodus 8:31
Exodus 9:6-7
e-had is a
completely different word from:
ya-ch-iyd (yaw-kheed)
Strong’s says: The only one, solitary, unique.
Examples of ya-ch-iyd being used in Scripture is;
Genesis 22:12
Zechariah 12:10
This distinction was clearly understood by Jesus
when He taught in Aramaic and when the Holy Spirit inspired the New
Testament writers to distinguish between the two in Greek.
Examples:
Mark 12:29
Matthew 19:5
Where Jesus uses the Greek compound unity eis
versus mono, which means one.
